Our classes offer
instruction without pressure based on the child's age and ability. The
curriculum becomes more advanced as the age of the child increases. For
example, in addition to seasonal and unit topics, twos are introduced to colors
and shapes. Threes review colors and shapes, meet the numbers 1 through 10 and
beginning sounds. Fours progress to the number 12 and focus on a letter a week,
with its upper and lower case formation. The Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten
classes further launch children into phonics, reading, handwriting and
mathematical concepts. Instruction in music and Bible is offered in a separate
class each week (except for twos).
Class-specific curriculum overviews including schedules are available on
request. Parents are invited, by appointment, to observe potential classes for
a brief period of time. Inquiries should be directed to the Preschool Office at
(330) 836-1436.
